Company CEO Matias Myllyrinne has publicly bid farewell to Remedy after 15 years at the Finnish studio, telling GamesIndustry.biz that he’s leaving to take up an executive position at World of Tanks maker Wargaming.
Myllyrinne isn’t the only notable exec to leave Remedy in recent months; in May Oskari Hakkinen, Remedy’s former head of franchise development, helped launch the chat app startup Futurefly.
Myllyrinne himself has been talking up Remedy’s interest in expanding its mobile development efforts for some time, even as the studio continues to develop its delayed Xbox One game Quantum Break.
It’s yet unclear what Myllyrinne’s role at Wargaming will be, and in the wake of his departure Remedy co-founder Markus Mäki is expected to take the reins.
