Game Programmer, Goblinworks
Location: Redmond, WA Goblinworks is the exciting fast-paced developer of Pathfinder Online – a fantasy sandbox MMO based on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game from Paizo Publishing. We believe the future of online games is in player interaction, not sterile pre-scripted stories. We are starting a player-centric game company that is built to last. We are seeking rock star programmers who want to work in one of the toughest game disciplines i MMO development. We can teach you the ropes of MMO development, but you must come with strong programming chops. We are a modern development studio using automated testing and agile development. We have a focus on creating solid, reliable systems that will be expanded on for years to come. MMO projects have a much longer time horizon than other game projects and strong engineering is a must. Applicants must demonstrate – Experience developing projects of moderate size with other programmers. – Knowledge of memory and CPU performance constraints including practical experience. – High degree of experience with either C++ or C#. – Ability to clearly communicate technical design alternatives including pros and cons. Ideal candidates would have one or more – Prior MMO development experience. – Prior experience with Unity 3D. – Prior game development experience.
